Tour Description: At Beijing Capital airport be met by our private guide and driver. Take about 1 hour’s drive from Beijing Airport to Mutianyu Great Wall and hike on the wall as long as you can. Mutianyu Great Wall is one popular section of the Great Wall but less crowded than other sections, well-known for its beautiful surroundings-the dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of the year. After the tour, transfer you back to airport.

~Pick you up in time from Beijing Capital airport (PEK) or your hotel by our private tour guide and driver
~Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall (1 hour)
~Visit Mutianyu Great Wall (2-3 hours, you can decide to stay longer or shorter time)
~Transfer you back to Beijing Capital airport (PEK) or your hotel (1 hour)
If your time allows and you would like to have lunch, we can take you to local restaurant, please pay the meal cost on your own

Hi there.
I would like to know if it’s possible to visit the Great Wall during my layover in Beijing. My flight from USA arrives on February 11, 2017 at 3:40 pm and leaves at 12:15 am. (8h35m).
If I spend about 1-1.5 hours to finish the custom clearance, 1 hour to get to the Wall by this time will be around 6 pm. Is this still a good time to visit it? We still have sunlight at this time of the year? And there is time left for another stop?

Unfortunately, the Great Wall will stop selling tickets at 17:00. So I do not think you can make it. We suggest you visit Downtown Beijing Hutong area and Tiananmen Square. We just sent you an email, please take a look.

We are planning a trip to Vietnam in April 2017 and have a layover in Capital Airport, (6.5 hrs.). We will be connecting on same airline as our inbound flight, so luggage should be no problem.
Would this provide us enough time for a Great Wall Tour? Even if is ~1-1.5 hrs., I am confident it would be time well spent!
