Beijing Layover Tour FAQs & Tips

1. How do we go through the visa free access and where to meet our guide?

Most of our layover tour clients are arrive in Beijing airport terminal 3. So we take terminal 3 as the example. (You can also watch our video above)

Step 1: When you get off the airplane please follow the sign “Exit, Baggage Claim“. Please keep walking until you see “China Inspection and Quarantine “.
Please DO NOT stop on the way, such as: “Exit & Entry Certificate Service Office” and “Transit for international Flights within 24 hours”. You might never be allowed to come out.

Step 2: Please walk through the “China Inspection and Quarantine “, then go to the left line where the visa free access is.

Step 3: After you pass through the “visa free access” there is a escalator. Please follow the escalator downstairs. Then you will see a little train station.

Step 4: Please get on the train, there are 2 stops please get off the train at the terminal station (T3 C).

Step 5: Get off the train at “T3 C”, follow the sign “Exit” you will see Exit “B“. Pass through the Exit “B”, there is a Starbucks Coffee to the left. Our guide will hold your name and wait you there.

According to our experience, the “visa free access” might change the location. If you can not find it, please do not hesitation to consult with the airport staff.

Meeting Point

Meeting Point at Starbucks no matter terminal 2 or terminal 3 you arrived

However, I am traveling solo. Do I need to pay the $180 cost or can I pay less to join another group? I am looking to pay between $50 and $100 for the tour. Thank you! Really hope I can join you!

Would we be able to get picked up at the airport, taken to the wall but then dropped at Tienanmen Square and make our own way back to the airport? Could you please give us a cost for this?

    • admin says:

      Hi Lesley,

We can pick you up from airport and drop you off at Tiananmen Square. The tour price will be the same as transfer you back to airport after the tour. Actually, the distance from Mutianyu Great Wall to the airport is closer than to the Tiananmen Square. Hope for your understanding!

Would we be able to have one of your private tours from the airport to Mutianyu and be returned to our hotel: Beijing Baizhu CBD Lanbao International Apartment, No. 3 , West Dawang Road, Beijing? We are a family of 2 adults, one 15 years old and one 9 year old. Please advise what the cost of this would be on 11th April and if this includes entry to the Wall and cable car/slide prices.

    Thank you
